Anthony Leiserowitz is a research scientist at Decision Research, Inc., and a principal investigator at the Center for Research on Environmental Decisions at Columbia University. His research includes public risk perception, decision-making, and behavior and the human dimensions of global environmental change. He has conducted empirical studies at the local, state, national (US), and international levels to investigate the role of knowledge, affect, imagery, values, experience, politics, and other factors in public climate change risk perceptions, policy preferences, and behaviors. He also serves as a scientific advisor to the Global Roundtable on Climate Change at the Earth Institute (Columbia University). Leiserowitz holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Studies and Policy from the University of Oregon.
