Ruben P. Mendez
Ruben P. Mendez is a former senior career official at the United Nations Development Programme. He currently teaches at New York University and Yale University, where he is affiliated with the Yale Center for International and Area Studies, and is writing an independent history of UNDP. He served as special adviser to the chairman of the Philippines’s National Economic Council and as economist in the Planning Department at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith.
